CMT-C alumni started schools in Chennai, Erode and other areas
CMT-C partnered NGOs such as SNEHA in Nagapattinam, and SOS Village in Tambaram in bringing Montessori education to rural schools for disadvantaged children.
Kalvi, in partnership with the Sri Ramacharan Trust, and the Corporation of Chennai has begun several Montessori environments in schools in Mylapore and Saidapet. Alumni of CMT-C have also started Montessori environments in schools in Thousand LightsLights, and Chetpet.
CMT-C partnered with Positive Parenting with the objective of supporting parents today in 2004. Using Maria Montessori's scientific discoveries of the child, CMT-C worked with parents to help them understand better the nature and needs of children.
Kalvi and its partners have also begun a large-scale programme to equip Balwadis with Montessori materials and teachers, so that children begin to benefit from this method from their earliest years.
Parijath, Kalvi’s classroom in the Cancer Institute, Chennai, is a path-breaking effort to create an oasis of learning and enjoyment for children undergoing long-term treatment for cancer.
