OTHER PROJECTS OF (CMTC) KALVI TRUST FOR RESEARCH AND EDUCATION

After school programme for children between the ages of 4 to 12 was conducted in the year 1999-2001.
In collaboration with an NGO, SNEHA (Nagapattinam) Teacher training programme for 33 fishing villages was conducted where we trained 33 teachers& 3 coordinators. This programme was conducted in 2002-2005.
In collaboration with SOS village – Tambaram in 2003 – 2005 trained Teachers and set up Montessori environments.
In collaboration with ‘Sri Ramacharan Trust’ since 2004 have helped set up Montessori Environments in the corporation schools and Balwadis as consultants and training their volunteers.
In collaboration with ‘Nishkam Trust’ since April 2007 have helped set up Montessori Environments in Balwadis by training their volunteers.
On November 14th 2007 ‘Parijath’, a Montessori Environment was set up for children in the Cancer Institute, Adyar.
On November 14 2008 five Montessori Environments were started at the Velachery Corporation School.
Montessori Environments at Tondiarpet Cherian Nagar Corporation School were supported by Kalvi Volunteers from June 2008 to Dec 2009.
As a part of Centre for Montessori Training – Chennai, it supported a parenting wing to create awareness among parents in various pockets of the city.
